Selçuk University Behavioral and Experimental Research Laboratory (SUBEL) was established in 2022 in the İİBF building with an infrastructure project supported by Selçuk University Scientific Research Projects Coordinatorship.
SUBEL was established to test the predictions of economic theory, to investigate the behavior patterns of people when making individual and collective decisions, according to economic environments, and to conduct empirical research to guide the design of economic institutions. In addition, it is aimed to teach experimental economics at undergraduate and graduate level with short/long term courses and seminars, and to introduce the use of experimental methods to support general economics teaching. In the future, the machinery and equipment contained in the Laboratory will be used in neuroeconomics, neuromarketing and behavioral finance, etc. It is aimed to expand it in accordance with experiments in these areas.
